Après Ski Favorites

Iron Furnace Brewing Apres Ski Fligth

The Iron Furnace Brewing beer barn has that old farm look but, once inside it has a clean, modern feel. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We started things off with a flight. The “Après Ride” was at the top of our list along with the “Knees in the Breeze” Belgian Blonde. Alongside the brews, Iron Furnace offers a solid selection of food to fill that après ski hunger.

The comfortable, inviting atmosphere at Iron Furnace is a great way to wind down from a full day of adventure in the White Mountains. Once you walk into the beer barn, grab a seat and have that first sip of their hop forward brews you’ll know you’ve found the right place for your après ski hang out.

Every Saturday the brewery has live music in the tasting room featuring local artists. Check out local musicians while enjoying local craft beer in a welcoming mountain atmosphere.

Lamb Chop Jay Village Inn Apres Ski

The Jay Village Inn is one of our favorite spots in northern Vermont. You’ll feel welcomed when greeted by friendly faces, a warm fireplace, and witty banter from the bartender. The food presentation is on point and second only to the amazing flavors in each dish. The Seared Maple Bacon Scallops and Lamb Chops were cooked to perfection. You won’t leave hungry with the generous serving sizes.

Jay Village Inn offers upscale food with a relaxing, ski town vibe where everyone feels welcome. Come straight off the mountain in your ski gear, and enjoy the amazing food JVI has to offer.

Greeted by upbeat music and ski lifts, Trail Break is a ski bum friendly, taco heaven. With 28 rotating taps showcasing Vermont breweries, there is sure to be a local brew for every beer lover. Serving up tacos, burritos, and quesadillas with gluten free and vegetarian options, it makes for a tough choice. I went with one of each taco my first visit. The Blackened tacos are at the top of my list. The spiced, grilled mahi mahi and street corn can’t be beat.

This modern, California food truck, take on tacos at Trail Break is certainly a great way to start or end a Vermont ski trip.

Located tramside, Miso Hungry is serving up authentic Japanese Ramen out of an old school tram car. These are by far some of the best noodles we’ve had in our travels. Sitting by the fire sipping a can of Japanese coffee, enjoying ramen while looking at the beauty of Jay Peak is something we look forward to every winter.

My go to is the Miso Ramen with an extra egg, You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Don’t pass by this amazing spot.

Enjoying Big Sky Brewing Co Apres Ski

If you’re visiting the Montana Snowbowl, the Last Run is the place to be. Great food and a full bar. These days it's a much mellower scene but, the wood fired brick oven pizza still holds true and a brew on the deck looking up at the bowl still hits the spot
